Enslain Magazine Issue #8
I hear real promise in this demo. Catchy, rhythmic death metal riffing with a sharp guitar tone and occasional harmonizing and soloing is the strength of this project, forming solid death metal tracks ranging in tempo from slow and grave, to mildly brutal. The vocals remind me of Immortal at times, in the extended growls, but is mostly a deep, beastlike growl, which works really well for this project. The drums sound like they’re either from a drum machine, or they’re triggered, and the only time this sounds like a problem is when they are isolated a bit, and you can really hear that. Altogether, aside from some timing difficulties and the fake sounding drums, I’m impressed with the songwriting, and I think this Washington State band could potentially advance in the scene.
