Enslain Magazine Issue #7
First impression: this sounds like your average local band, though a little less heavy, and a little more unique. Needles Down seems to have some good ideas, and a catchable sound, but headed more towards a radio sound than an underground feeling. This release has good production, but their sound is a little empty. Vocals are clean and mid/high pitched, and tend to drown out the music a little. Musically it's very common and simple, with a few guitar solos, and bass that follows along with the guitar. Though not a bad effort, it just doesn't have anything that intense or heavy, or attention holding.
