Enslain Magazine Issue #7
Boston and the surrounding areas of Massachussettes seem to have a strong scene with many bands and a certain sound represented, of hardcore/metal crossover. Boton natives, Kevorkian, can proudly claim uniqueness in this scene, with their pure, raw metal nature. Though bearing striking resemblences to Six Feet Under, mostly vocally but also musically, they are much more raw and cutting. For the most part, the music doesn't get blazingly fast, but it's just as effective with mid-paced crushing guitarwork. There are a few repetitive recessional parts in a few of the songs, that could be seen as hardcore-friendly, but I think they work well to give the pit fiend a moment to cool down before the insanity restarts.
