The Name (Bestial Records)
Enslain Magazine Issue #6
Order Issue #6! This review included. Here is a band whose name couldn't describe the music any better. Very calm and atmospheric songs are found throughout this release. In addition to the ethereal sounding keyboard passages are guitars and various vocal stylings, given pace by simple drum machinated beats. The sounds on this album definitely match the concepts behind them, which are of unearthly and subconscious themes. The mix could be better, as they don't always sound like a collective whole; some of the instruments seem to stand out a bit much on these songs. As a whole, this is a very peaceful album, with guitar harmonies to offset the somberness, and it has a feeling all of its own. -- Lady Enslain
