Arrival of the Forgotten Ones (Erebos Productions)
Enslain Magazine Issue #7
Order Issue #7! This review included.
Sanatorium describe themselves as naturalistic death metal. Though the concepts and themes, artwork and lyrics, represent a naturalistic view, the music in no way brings such a thought to mind. Mostly brutal passages, sometimes slowed down to something a little more thrashy, their sound doesn't incorporate nature, but rather the harshness of reality. These Slovakians are good at what they do, which is classic death metal without constant blast beats, with unpredictable arrangements and separated lead/rhythm guitars. Though it doesn't present anything really new, there are some good ideas on here, and they're all easy to stomach. -- Lady Enslain
