Pulkas

Greed (Earache)
Enslain Magazine Issue #5
Order Issue #5! This review included.
In my opinion, Pulkas fits into the same general category of all the newer metal bands, who have the simplicity of hardcore, and the groove and catchiness necessary to hook in all of the younger metalheads. What does Pulkas have that the other 90's metal bands do not? Well, they sound a little different than the others. Though I'd put them into the same class with the others, they don't have the same exact sound. They've got a bit more of the groove element, as well as rythym. I'm not too thrilled with the vocals, his aggressive voice is pretty average, but his clean voice is somewhat annoying. It's really not that bad, but it's certainly not my thing. Fans of the lighter side of metal will probably appreciate, and should pick up a copy of Greed. -- Lady Enslain
