Mid Autumn Nights

And I Entitled It: "A Dirge..." (Euphonious)

Dirge: a song or hymn of grief or lamentation. Both lyrically and musically, this definition serves as more than accurate, as these are among the most depressing songs and downtrodden lyrics I've seen in a while. Aside from various heavier elements and occasional harsh vocals, I see Mid Autumn Nights fitting more into the genre of classical music, though the addition of drumwork may make darkwave a more adequate word to describe this unique sound. Be sure to listen for the hidden track at the end, a dynamic, majestic, classical piece that you could associate with a medieval ballroom dance... quite possibly the most enjoyable track on the album. -- Lady Enslain
