I was really looking forward to writing this review. I was a big fan of the older Metal Church offerings. "Blessing in Disguise" was a brilliant album. I was really hoping that some of that old spirit would carry over to here. It very definitely has the sound of old Metal Church, but there is something missing. It took a while to figure it out, but I think the missing ingredient here is interest. I hate to be blunt, but this whole thing just strikes me as boring. I was really disappointed by the over all feel and quality of the album. There is really nothing standing out here with the exception of annoying vocals, and really sub-standard production. It sounds like it was recorded and produced in a basement somewhere with a deaf engineer. It is a real shame to see what was a great band go down the tubes like this, but maybe they can get out something good next time around. I won't bother to pick favorite tracks, because I am just glad that it's out of my CD player. -- Chris
