Pleasures Pave Sewers (Nuclear Blast)
Enslain Magazine Issue #7
Order Issue #7! This review included.
I was informed before receiving this release that it bore a close likeness to old Terrorizer and Napalm Death's "Harmony Corruption". Upon listening to it, however, I was greatly disappointed. In essence, "Pleasures Pave Sewers" sounds exactly like one would expect along with the combination of members who've already distinguished themselves in their primary projects/genres. Some of the riffing does bear some resemblance to newer Napalm Death material, but everything else seems to lean more to the Black Metal side. The musicianship is without question of the highest quality, but because of my affinity to traditional grind, I found it quite hard to get into. With all due respect to the members involved, I was very displeased with this recording. -- Glenn Sykes
