Born In Hell (No Fashion/Metal Blade)
Enslain Magazine Issue #7
Order Issue #7! This review included.
Lobotomy is very deadly, playing mid-paced death metal with mostly low tones. The guitar sound is somewhat thick, and the guitars play off of each other really well, the vocals are mostly guttural, and the overall sound is very bassy, a bit darker than your common death metal release, yet not black metal by a long shot. And there's no happy-melodic filler on here either. Just dark, brutal yet lively death metal, very solid, and very fulfilling. Their sound is easily recognizable, as it stays pretty consistent throughout, though adding new riffs and sounds in each song. The longer you listen, the more you'll begin to appreciate the good, solid quality of "Born in Hell." -- Lady Enslain
