(Frozen Dawn Records) Enslain Magazine Issue #8
Inner War has a great sound, considerably tight, and produced darkly and still audibly. The songs are mostly brutal, but not continuously. It's slow when it needs to be, and melodic when it needs to be, and even during the most relentless moments it always retains sound definition, and a harsh sort of clarity. The guitars have both great tone and great riffs, that know just when to harmonize, and when to double up for added depth. The deep growled vocals add the extra ounce of despair to this already dismally produced project. Technically capable, brutal and original, Inner War proves death metal to be an art without boundaries.
