Mystralengine (Great White North)
Enslain Magazine Issue #7
Order Issue #7! This review included.
Horror/gore themed albums rarely, if ever, are expected to have the sound that is on "Mystralengine." Never will you hear such a musical portrayal of blood and terror. There is nothing very horrifying or bizarre throughout this CD, besides the samples between each song. The music is a heavier, more evil form of melodic metal, with fast constant drumming, a lot of grooves, and clearly graspable growled vocals. The songs change pace a lot, but each riff receives repetitive rotation, and there are some really powerful melodies that make you catch yourself moving along to them. Ghoulunatics was a really pleasant surprise, and I'm sure many others will find this to be the case as well. -- Lady Enslain
