Fall of the Leafe

Evanescent, Everfading (Defiled)
Enslain Magazine Issue #5
Order Issue #5! This review included.
Evanescent, Everfading begins with a rather Celtic atmospheric sounding song, the guitar sounds as though it is sort of mocking a bagpipe, giving it a much better sound. An excellent way to begin an album. Even after this first song, "The Celestial Keeper," Fall of the Leafe continues to impress me with track after track of swiftly picked riffs, guitar harmonies, creative drumming, and semi-understandable, decent growling. This band has a way of giving off an almost atmospheric sound without the use of keyboards. This atmosphere comes from their guitarwork, their two guitars mingling with each other to produce an awesome sound that hooks you in and makes you feel the album. I can't imagine anyone not liking this album, so give it a try! -- Lady Enslain
