Face of Anger

Faceless (Noise Records)
Enslain Magazine Issue #7
Order Issue #7! This review included.
Ah, good old Southern metal... you know the type. Really chunky, simple yet effective riffs backed by very bassy drums, and very pounding bass lines, fronted by sung vocals. A definite verse-chorus-occasional bridge-verse-chorus structure is noticed within each of the songs, however this doesn't seem to help make the songs any more memorable. The songs are well written, and a few are exceptionally catchy, and the recording quality is as clean as it needs to be, giving the deep sound that they seem to go for. But for the most part, "Faceless" just seems to drag on, as the songs don't vary as much as I'd like them to. Some additional influences could make Face of Angerís future material more desirable. -- Lady Enslain
