(Metal Blade) Enslain Magazine Issue #8
When first listening to this album it starts with a pretty cool guitar intro reminiscent of some old Testament stuff. Overall it has the pretty standard power metal type feel, with lots of guitar harmonics and double bass throughout. The album has it's fast points and it's slow points, but nothing that really stood out and grabbed me. Well-produced and a good overall sound, but something is just missing. Maybe originality? Maybe more talent? Don't get me wrong, this album isn't bad, but it's not one of the better things I've ever heard. Just one of those albums that's cool to listen to once in a while, but at the same time it's just very forgettable. The "ballads" on the album are very cool, they kind of remind me of Dream Theater a bit. This is a great album for all of the power metal types, but it's doubtful anyone else will like it.
