Order Issue #7! This review included.
Hateful black metal with a lot of depth and harmonizing. This is "Porphyrogenesis." Brought to us by three former members of Sweden's Setherial, this fast and skillful CD debut shows promise for this young act. Blot Mine is darker and more raw than most of what comes out of Swedish soil, leading one to believe that it must be from the darker, more cold and grim northern region of the country, or at least it sounds as if this is the case. Though these songs are very listenable and enjoyable, there isn't much that makes it stand above the music of similar black metal artists. This takes nothing away from their melodically enhanced darkness, as this is still an amazingly rich release, with great sound and good song writing. -- Lady Enslain
