Pale Folklore (The End Records)
Enslain Magazine Issue #6
Order Issue #6! This review included. "Pale Folklore" is a unique and well-composed release, as can be expected of an artist picked up by The End Records. The sound is that of dark melodic metal, adhering to the concept of humanity and nature. These six songs, all of which are quite long, have an emotional and melancholic quality that can also be read throughout the lyrics, in this beautifully laid out booklet. The dual guitars create textured dreariness, which is backed by majestic symphonies, creative drumwork, and a blend of dynamics and tempo changes. The instrumentals on this release stray away from a metal sound, but always set the mood for what's next to come. The production is slightly echoed, giving a really full sound to this soundtrack of dreariness. -- Lady Enslain
